Research limits
Read the number, then read its limits
Sensible Investor publishes general educational research. It does not provide personalized investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice.
A calculation is not a forecast
A fee illustration depends on its stated return, time, contribution, and cost assumptions. Change an assumption and the result changes. A historical filing does not tell you what a fund will own, charge, or return later.
Portfolio measures have blind spots
Overlap and active-share measures describe positions at a point in time. They do not decide whether a portfolio is suitable or whether an active decision was good. Regulatory reports can arrive after the fund has traded.
Verify before acting
Check a fund's current prospectus, shareholder reports, and official notices. Those documents—not this site—control the fund's current fees and terms.
